Pree Dammond exemplifies Southern Swagger Internationally

Southern Gentleman Swagger is something that has been un-defined for some time.  It's has transformed from whites tees and saggy jeans to sleek and urban with personal character.  Under the umbrella of Fashion and Trends, a new image for Southern Gentleman Swagger has taken place.  This image is not always about swagging and surfing.  It's is not Hood Rock, or Skateboarder drag.  Southern  Gentleman Swag as a fashion trend is diverse...just as diverse as the population that resides in the Southern States such as Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and St. Louis.  Southern Swagger is exemplified in human form as Pree Dammond.

an International Image the Southern Charmer

On a scale of slim to none, there is no evidence of anyone like me.  My confidence mistaken for arrogance is just the residue that is left in the mouths of those with insecurities.  My friends adore me and I value them as pearls of royalty.  The South has harden me, but has also gave me the type of character that can blend with any residing international.  God get's the glory as I strive to make him proud.  It is a blessing for me to know you as I embraced the world as a Life Stylist defined only by Pre`eStoria.

Relationships are Priceless

"Video Introduction From Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret "

Always remember, INFORMATION IS FREE
Those who pay for it, are just lazy and will only get part of what they think they've paid for. Relationships are priceless...I encourage you to network for friendships not necessarily for monetary gain. -Pree Dammond

Dinner Etiquette originates from Africa

Dinner Etiquette originates from Africa

It is extremely important to use proper table manners during a meal to make a lasting good impression.

Table Setting:

When you are presented with a large selection of eating utensils, remember to “start from the outside and work your way in.”

Napkin

    * Soon after sitting down at the table, you should put your napkin down on your lap. However, be sure to follow the lead of the host and/or hostess.
    * The napkin should stay on your lap throughout the duration of the meal. If for some reason you need to leave, be sure to place your napkin on the left of your plate or on your chair. The waiter and/or waitress will know that you will be returning.
    * If the host places their napkin on the table, this represents the end of the meal and you should also place your napkin immediately on the table.

Ordering & Being Served

    * It is not appropriate to order the most expensive item from the menu. It is also not appropriate to order appetizers or desserts. This is only done when the host encourages your to order these items from the menu.
    * It is usually the best idea to not order alcohol, even if the interviewer orders alcohol. If you do order alcohol, be sure to drink it in moderation.
    * Avoid ordering items that are messy and hard to eat (i.e. spaghetti and French onion soup).
    * Make sure everyone at the table has their meal before being to eat. Only start eating if the individual who has not been served encourages your to start eating without them.

During the Meal

    * Eat slowly and only cut small bites off of your food at a time.
    * Chew with your mouth closed and do not speak to others while you have food in your mouth.
    * Pass all food items to the person on your right. If you are the one starting the passing of the bread basket, it is proper to offer the person to your left some bread, take some for yourself, and then pass the bread to the person on your right.
    * Bread should be eaten by tearing off small pieces and buttering them individually. Be sure you do not cut your bread with your knife or eat it whole.
    * Salt and pepper should be passed together and should be passed with one in each hand. If you are asked to pass the salt and pepper, do not use them before passing them to someone else.
    * Be sure to taste your food before adding salt and pepper.
    * Do not use more than two packets of sweetener per meal.
    * Do not clean your plate. It is proper to leave a few bites of food on your plate.

When You Finish Your Meal

    * When you have finished eating your meal, do not push your plate aside or stack them on top of each other. It is proper to leave the plate sitting where they are currently.
    * Be sure to lay your knife and fork side by side on the plate to they point to the 10:00 and 4:00 positions if you were to be looking at a clock face. This tells the waiter and/or waitress you have completed your meal.
    * The person who initiated the idea of the meal is usually the one who pays for everything.
    * Always remember to thank your host and/or hostess.

How to get their attention, when you have never met them face to face?

In the past, you saw someone you wanted and went hard after them; eventually that transformed into a possible long term relationship or a great acquaintance.  Well, not today.  In today’s era,
Men and Women go on countless amounts of dates to leave the room feeling unfulfilled or shallow about the entire encounter.

The reason people leave shallow is because we don’t expect much value from each other any more.  We expect things of no value and desire people of no character substance.

Women know men want sex, and men know most women want money or some sense of security without the entrapment of responsibilities.

People are conversing under untraditional means such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and other Social Media Sites because of fear of meeting face to face.  People are beginning to adopt this practice even in terms of how they Network for business.  Wrong Move!

I never understood why, people allow themselves to become victim of them-selves.  We created these technologies now it seems most people are entrapped by them.

So Women have asked me this question, “How do you get the attention of a man that you know of but you have never met face to face.  Answer:  What’s the reason in being shy?  You have to step outside your comfort zone and simple introduce yourself.  Meet him/her offline, and take interest in the things he/she is interested in.

You have nothing to lose if you do, but a possible good friend to lose if you don’t.

The Key to your Network having Value.

People hear all the time that your Network is your Net-Worth but there is a piece missing.
You have to have a relationship with your Network, in order for their Net-worth to have any value.

To leverage your Network, and for your Network to leverage you, the two of you must foster a relationship with each other. Many people go day to day looking at people as numbers.  For years, I keep a foundation of principles built on quality not quantity.  It is true what they say, if you can make 1 friend out of the many people that you meet on a day to day basis, you are blessed.

ATL Club Awards 2010 Picture of Hottest Host Nominee Pree Dammond

ATL Club Awards 2010 was filled with a lot of hard working entertainment professionals this past Saturday, October 16th, 2010.  Jersey took home ATL's Hottest host award.  As a nominee for hottest host, Pree Dammond was very proud and excited that Jersey was able to walk away the victor.  It's been said that Jersey Moulin has been busting her butt in the Streets of Atlanta.
Taking home the award for "Life of the Party" was ATL's fabolous Sayonora Silva (SY).  It was definitely a night to remember.  Many thanks go to Paris of Eye Candy Studios for providing Wardrobe and make up to a few of the admins and nominees.

Post ATL Club Awards, Pree Dammond will be hosting his 3rd Film and Fashion Networking Affair in Atlanta's midtown district at the new remodeled ER Lounge.  As a favor to a friend, Pree has agreed to host there.  People are working diligently in order to provide an atmosphere filled with good spirited professionals, Fashion Artistry, and great food.

Appreciating Old Wines

The oldest bottle of wine I have was given to me as a gift back in 2006 after a Comedian Production I had produced. It's a Romanelli Chianti wine from Italy. The date is 1998. It's almost 13 years old. I'm not sure when I'll pop the cork on this one.

The next oldest bottle is a Glen Ellen Cabernet Savignon reserve. I actually bought this bottle while I was in college and never opened it. I called myself trying to appreciate things that I've aged myself. This bottle has history with me.

Next in line is a Robet Mondavi private selection dated 2004. It's a Syrah made in california. This wine is a desert wine which embodies the philosophy of a fruit-forward grape style.

The last bottle is a BanRock Station fine wine. It's a Shiraz from South Eastern Australia. The date on this one is 2006. I'm not sure when I bought or how I attained this one. Knowing me, I bought it when I first LLCed myself.

Only certain people appreciate aged wine. Nothing special about the people, it's just something we like. Like most great things in life, Wine does truly get better with age.

Food for thought Aug 25th

How shallow; if money defines you.

August, 25th, 2010

Those who let money defined them are usually the one's that are marketed to to generate sales.  Those that let money defined them are usually the one's who chase money instead of letting money flow to them.  Those who let money defined them, will buy into things that retain no real value.  Those with money enjoy life, not because they have money but because the realization of life and it's value over powers capitalism. Those with money actually have no money at all.  What they posses is value which can be exchange for any form of currency at will.

This is a section from a book that I'm currently working on

Post Press Conference with Kasim Reed and EUE Screen Gems

Written by Pree Dammond, Film Director/Writer/Entrepreneur
Date: August 18th, 2010

A Press conference was held August 13th, 2010 with Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed and EUE Screen Gems to discuss the Film and Television Industry in Atlanta GA.

This event was held at the W-Hotel Down Town in Studio 3, 4th floor.

Stacey Johnson, Events manager spoke on economic development regarding Georgia's local government affairs who later introduced Hyde Green, who later spoke on Georgia Entertainment Investment Act of 2008.

Special thanks were given to the Georgia Film Commission for the recognition of a 40% increase in Productions coming out of the state of Georgia.  It was also mention that there was an 4% margin increase in Georgia's production budget.

A lot of local activist are excited and curious to see if the development of EUE Screen Gem in the Lakewood community will create Jobs for their communities.

EUE Screen Gems are responsible for a few well known production that most people would be familiar with. Such productions such as, Smokey and the Bandit, Lottery Ticket, and more.  Chris Cooney, President of Screen Gem would not elaborate but did comment on a few more first phase productions which are scheduled to come to the Atlanta area by mid September 2010.

At this time, Screen Gems will not be operating as a Production Company but rather as a production stage facility to companies who wish to produce major films in the state of Georgia.

Georgia offer great incentives for production companies to relocate here.  The weather is marginally perfect and you will experience all seasons.  The talent pool in Atlanta continues to grow as more Acting coaches are taking an interest in moving to the area.  Art institution such as SCAD, and Art Institute of Atlanta are production qualified and skill workers to enter this workforce in Ga.  Local film makers and the Art communities are taking a strong interest in the development of our Entertainment and Film sector in Atlanta.

Jasmine Guy is now a resident of Georgia and was in attendance for August 13th Press Conference.  Jasmine Guy is a very credible and establish Actress to say the least.
Ed Spivey was also in attendance. His involvement in bringing entertainment to Georgia has been a 20 year dream transformed into reality for Ed.

When asked the question; "what can we expect in terms of Job creation in the Atlanta area", Kasim Reed responded with a figure between 250 - 500 jobs would be created.

Jobs with emphasis in post production, production crews, carpenters for stage designs, custom designers, and more.

The Entertainment sector in Atlanta Ga is expected to grow rapidly.  The sound stages at turner are already running at full capacity.  Over 700 million dollars in film and entertainment has already been invested in Georgia.

In conclusion, everyone seems to be hoping for the best in terms of growth in Georgia overall economy.  Whether it comes from Entertainment, or an Increase in Industrial production, the communities of Atlanta Georgia are sitting on the edge of their seats for a positive change in our economy.

So you want to know what I think?
