T.I gets his Vote on yesterday in McDonough, GA

I wasn't surprise to hear that T.I. was casting his vote for change yesterday in Henry County located in McDonough, GA around the same time I was voting. This was Tips first time voting, and probably won't be his last. In the past alot of us probably thought our votes never made a difference. Well, that concept has changed as you can see. From Urban to Corporate offices, brothers are beginning to step it up.

Scared Americans

Many people are fearful of what they can't see. They look for a way out and fill that thet can't breath. The economy is in a rutt, and food prices are up. They're looking for a way their families can eat. My answer is vague, you must kill fear by having faith. Faith in goodness and yourself, that in hard times the shift in power is from richest to rags and rags to wealth.

Rumor Report: "They are spiking our Gas so that it burns quicker"

Gas prices have dropped a little. It's still not enough. However, there has been talk that Oil companies are spiking our gas supplies with Ethanol so that it burns quicker causing us to spend more on gas. Greed is a mutha!

Some info on how this works:

The octane number determines how fast it burns.Ex, 89 octane, un-blended fuel will burn the same speed as as 89 octane fuel blended with ethanol. Now, if you took some 89 octane fuel and mixed it with some ethanol (don't try at home), it would increase the octane number and slow the fuel burn.Keep in mind that the octane number (the fuels resistance to detonation under high pressures) is different than the energy content of the fuel. Ethanol has less energy than gasoline does, so you will have to burn more of it to produce the same power. Hence, spending more for Gas even at lower gas prices.

The Obama Assassination Attempt

I was hoping that things had really changed in America. Everyone thought about it but it was not the talk of mass media. Was there going to be an assassination attempt? An educated black man running for President of the United States and having a good chance of making it. This sound familiar doesn't it. The last man many fear to be President who could bring change was Martin Luther King Jr. Now, Obama has his name in history for times to come as the Black Presidential Candidate that made it. There obviously are good people in the world and it is evident that many people's ideology has change since MLK days.

According to CBS4, at least four people are under arrest in connection with a possible plot to kill Barack Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech in Denver.

My question is to every one..."Why are the perpetrators being held on drug or weapons charges instead of attempted murder?"

CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass reported one of the suspects told authorities they were "going to shoot Obama from a high vantage point using a ... rifle ... sighted at 750 yards."
Law enforcement sources tell Maass that one of the suspects "was directly asked if they had come to Denver to kill Obama. He responded in the affirmative."

The story began emerging Sunday morning when Aurora police arrested 28-year-old Tharin Gartrell. He was driving a rented pickup truck in an erratic manner according to sources.

Sources told CBS4 police found two high-powered, scoped rifles in the car along with camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, wigs, a bulletproof vest, a spotting scope, licenses in the names of other people and 44 grams of methamphetamine.

One of the rifles is listed as stolen from Kansas.
... authorities went to the Cherry Creek Hotel to contact an associate of Gartrell's. But that man, identified as Shawn Robert Adolph, 33, who was wanted on numerous warrants, jumped out of a sixth floor hotel window. Law enforcement sources say Adolph broke an ankle in the fall and was captured moments later. Sources say he had a handcuff ring and was wearing a swastika, and is thought to have ties to white supremacist organizations.
A third man -- an associate of Gartrell and Adolph, Nathan Johnson, 32, was also arrested. He told authorities that the two men "planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech."
...The U.S. Attorneys Office has scheduled a news conference for Tuesday afternoon. The U.S. Attorney in Denver said it does not believe there is a credible threat to Obama or the convention.
"It's premature to say that it was a valid threat or that these folks have the ability to carry it out," said a U.S. government official familiar with the investigation. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The Miguel dining experience

Amigo and Miguel, Photographed by Pree (Miguel is wearing the hat)

I remember thinking back to when me an my Ex-girlfriend would spend our times together at the local Mexican Restaurants in the Metropolitan areas of Atlanta. Casa Grande on Peachtree St across from Intermezos was one of our favorite dating hang out spot to eat. Now, that I think about...We started our relationship off on Margaritas and Tortilla Chips. I was broke and she was caring. She was down to earth and cool as hell. Well, this past weekend after a quick photo shoot with SJ Photography. I had the pleasure of dining with Miguel. He had just bought a grill and was ready to burn. Miguel had prepared fillet of steaks, grilled onions, grilled jalapenos, and a guacamole mix. Those that know me, know I hate guacamole that is until I've tasted Miguel personal recipe. The steaks were exquisite, and the guacamole superb! I even tried the grilled Catus, which was different. It had a unique flavor, plus Miguel advises that it's good for your digestive system. Now, many of you probably won't get the chance to dine with Miguel due to the spontaneous nature of his grilling. I was blessed to experience it myself. Miguel authentic Mexican entries are non like what you will experience in town. I've conclude that the only way to get true authentic exotic dishes is to visit the homes of these international cooks. Restaurants... however nice, are just not the real deal! Please be-friend those of different ethnicity...if you don't you're losing out!

Keeping it One Hundred my dude!

Keeping it One hundred!

Let me be the first to let you know, for those that don't know what this term means. "Keeping it One Hundred" means staying 100% true to yourself and others. Lies are for punks and if you are truly witty about yourself you will know that the truth is the best game of all. It has been said that the truth shall set you free. This has been the case for me time and time again in relationships, friendships, and business relations.

For example: What does a fool gain from lies about his or her financial statues. A fool pretends to have what he/she has not and by doing so digs a deeper ditch for themselves to die in.

Why pretend? Just keep it one hundred. At least this way, you won't be a broke ass.

"Keeping it One hundred" is a philosophy of mine and I assume this is why people value my opinion and ideas. I live my life trying to experience more and more everyday. I take the time to smell the roses. I choose to play the game of life. I choose to enjoy life's great creations. I would like to think that I have a diverse perspective on places, creations, and people. I plan to increase my knowledge and experience in all of these things til the day I die.

So to conclude if there are things that you would like to change in your life, or you just want to work on bettering yourself. Start by "Keeping it... One hundred."

ARE WE IN A RECESSION???

ARE WE IN A RECESSION???

There are people who skate around the world Recession. No one wants to finally admit that the US economy is in a Recession. Look around you. I went to Public grocery store last night to purchase things for a meal. I rarely buy a lot of groceries because I hate to waste food, and being that I’m a bachelor the trips to the grocery store really don’t bother me much… it’s just a stop on my way home.

At any rate, I was not amazed to find every item in the store that would be hunger fulfilling was an average of $3.00. A bag of Salad was $3 bucks. Now something is wrong with that. I would almost be better off eating fast food because there’s not much to save anymore from grocery shop. Don’t get it twisted…My health is way more important than saving money so I will continue to shop instead of eating out too much.

Gas prices are finally starting to drop, but is this a sign of another Great depression.

Read the following insert from MSN money talk:

Light, sweet crude was down $4.64 to $63.20 in premarket electronic trading this morning, despite an announcement from OPEC that it will cut production by 1.5 million barrels a day to try to stem crude's recent slide. Three months ago, crude was selling at an all-time high of more than $147 a barrel.
Ministers with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries had been divided over how deeply to cut exports to try to reverse the price slide, given the prospects for a recession in the United States and Europe, as well as recent forecasts from China for slower growth in 2009.
A sharper slowdown in China would likely cause crude prices to plummet even if OPEC holds firm to its production cuts.

The Great Depression

After reading Articles like this, I draw a simple conclusion. This is the time for families to stick together. This is the time for friend to stick together. If there is anyone you love, this is the time to strengthen those bonds.

A lot of people are trying to save money more than anything now. Saving actually hurts us when where in a Recession. Save = not circulating money back into the economy.

For this reason, I understand that Obama’s need to increase Taxes is a valid one. I do believe in McClain Free trade philosophy. We do need free trade, but there should be some restriction on corporate Out-Sourcing. There should be some tax placed on companies that outsource. Taxes shouldn't be so outrages that it cuts all the profits that generated from the decrease cost of labor but the funds generated from the tax should go directly to the State not the Federal Government at which that business resides in. This is my take on the situation.
We could enrich the value of life in that state by distributing those funds to the State. There’s nothing wrong with having State resource that empowers those that do business on State land. This is a volatile market so we have to be careful regarding government control in our everyday lives. We need strengthen checks and balances between Federal and State Government.

My review on "The Comedy experience" Wednesday @ Cenci Lougge

Pree Dammond Reviews:

I would like to start my review off by thanking everyone that made this event and my experience an enjoyable one. Eve and I, really appreciated the love Maurice.

Cenci Lounge is located in the East Atlanta area on Glenwood Ave. This venue has a unique look and appeal if you like the look of an old school open mic room in someones basement. I like eccentric places so the decor was delightful to me. I really enjoy the original Art work that was posted on the burnt orange walls. You could tell this room had a very local business type of feel which i think is what the owners are going for.

As far as the comedian performances:

Comedians and comediennes that stood out the most were Toni Tone (BET Comedian Host), April Body(Atlanta's Hottest Female Comedienne), Clayton(from Elimidate) and Jareed Harrish(Comedy Gold). These guys and gals ROCKED!! even if the show started an hour behind schedule...NO Fault of the promoter of course.

The Comedians had me falling in and out of my seat. I'm sure the Chardonnay had a small roll to play in that but for the most part they did their thing on stage.

I do have to admit, the set up was not right for any comedian performances but who really cares as long as you're having a good time and laughing your rump off. There wasn't a stage and the lights where terrible for the first 10 minutes while the host was warming up the crowd. Being that this was their first comedy showing, we definitely got to attend another comedy experience at Cenci to get the full impact. The crowd was less than packed for their first night, but I'm sure this will change shortly. Great Comedy room for comedians to try new Jokes! I can tell that once you get the hang of stand up it can become addictive. The rush you get from the crowd applauding your performance has to be exciting.

Out of a possible 10 points. I rate this room a 7, based on over all appeal and growth potential for the East Atlanta area.

Mens Fashion trends for 2009

The Deep V neck shirts:
I'm really on the fence about the expected fashion trend of 2009. It has been said that the Deep V neck is a hot look for men, but what about bird chested guys, or hairy chested guys. Is this really appealing to women? I've heard mixed stories from women regarding hairy chest men. Some ladies adore it and other do not. For the most part, the women i meet say they like a little hair on a man's chest. They consider it sexy. We all ready know the answer for bird chested dudes. Keep it in the cage dog! In the picture above Nelly is rocking a deep V...I'm sure ladies out there don't have a problem with him wearing it. I think I'm going to have to experiment for myself on this one to see if women really think it's a hot look. I don't mind putting myself on the spot for the benefit of the people, plus the way i rock it can't be matched.
I would love to hear a woman's perspective on this look!

Wife moving in Pretty Cleaning Lady moving Out!

Today on the morning show with Frank Ski and Wanda, a woman had wrote into the radio station (V-103) expressing their sentiments on what to do with this Beautiful Cleaning lady.

You see this Woman was engaged to be married towards the end of the year and had discussed with her fiance her moving in process. They had agreed that she would move in before they finalize the marriage.

Well, one day she was packing up her things and had decided to take somethings to her new home. When she got there to her surprise was this gorgeous Brazilian cleaning lady. The lady introduced herself as Maria the cleaning lady.

The woman knew that her husband to be had a Maid service due to how busy his work is, but she had no clue that the Maid was as beautiful as Maria.

To conclude, the woman is asking the question. How should she confront her husband to be on what to do with the cleaning lady?

My thoughts:

I think that the wife to be should have a little more self-esteem in the matter. It's obvious that this woman has been the cleaning lady for a while now. It wouldn't be fair to fire her because she's a beautiful woman. On the other hand, what wife says goes in my book. I would still think firing her is the wrong thing to do. I would suggest getting to know the cleaning lady before making a decision on this woman's lively hood. This woman could be supporting a family or worse be a single mom in unfortunate situation trying to provide for her children. Plus, women all over have work so hard in regards to gaining respect in the work place. The Women of today want the job based on Merit, not beauty. Women today, want to be taken serious...for their mind not their bodies.

I can't hold you back from your dreams and I won't try.

You say if you stay in Atlanta you will die.

The way you fly in and out of my life makes me want to cry, but im strong so my tear ducts remain dry.

We share the same passion and goals...it seems you were made for me.

When apart we both grow...just hoping together we'll be. I'm a good man and I hope you realize that...without you I'm cold which makes it harder to come back.

So you want to know what I think?
