EVE pushes woman down a fleet of Stairs

Rapper/actress Eve was reportedly embroiled in a fight in Los Angeles on Thursday night, during which a young woman was allegedly “pushed down a flight of stairs.”The star was enjoying a night out with a group of friends at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel when she reportedly was confronted by another female outside the venue.
The women are said to have exchanged words before the altercation became physical, although it is unclear who instigated the violence, according to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six.
However, the two parties managed to settle their differences and avoided getting the police involved.
A source tells the publication, “It got physical … one of the girls Eve was yelling at was pushed down a flight of stairs either by Eve or one of her posse, but they calmed her down and cops weren’t called.”
A representative for Eve has yet to comment on the claims.

"I AM" by Preezie

“I am”
By: Pree Dammond
12:25 March 24th, 2008

I am who I am.

I am many things all into to one.

I am pain. I am pleasure. I am my worst enemy and my greatest fan. I am a Christian who sins.

I am a believer that submits. I am everything but at times I feel like I am nothing at all.

I have friends, but feel lonely. I have family that do not know me.

I am loved and feared all at the same time.

I am an artist who creates, but there is something in side of me that destroys.

I am an employee, but also the president of my company.

I have fear, but am scared of no man or no thing.

I am blessed, but at the same time feel the rain.

My trials and tribulations make me stronger, but I feel weak. I feel drained. I feel the lost of someone I love, but her feelings are not the same.

I have come to the conclusion that I am who I am and now the new beginning truly begins.

Any foe that stands in my way will meet the stranger inside of me, no more will I hold him back with my own two hands.

I am normal in a world of imperfection.

I am Preezie.

"Juelz Santana arrested in front of his Home"

Dipset member Juelz Santana was arrested near the entrance of his Teaneck, New Jersey home, after police found hollow point bullets and marijuana in his Bentley. The rapper, born LaRon James, was arrested last week as he approached his home in the gated community of Glenpointe. The arresting officer claimed he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from Santana’s Bentley and upon further inspection, noticed several marijuana roaches, Dutch Masters and White Owl cigars.
After police learned the rapper was driving with a suspended license, they searched the vehicle and found 29 hollow point bullets wrapped in a sock, as well as $19.500 dollars in cash in a hidden plastic bag filled with “hundreds of Jolly Rancher candies.”
According to The New York Daily News, after being searched, police also found a rolled marijuana blunt in Santana’s sock.
Police also found a sandwich bag of marijuana in the police car where Juelz Santana had been sitting.

"The Trauma of Love"

“The Trauma of Love”

When you experienced a break up just know that it’s important to heal before pursuing other relationships.

Think of being hurt by love as being a solider wounded in battle.

If you were a solider wounded in battle your instinct is to survive, but the choices that you make at your weakened state could kill you.

Can you imagine being a wounded soldier in the woods who is being pursued by stalkers, attackers, or any one who could hurt you?

Even if the pursuer don’t intend to cause you harm, they could.

You’re in the woods starving and in need of help. You body feels like it’s shutting down and your life force is being drained as if you are bleeding to death. You are in need of medical attention. You need to heal from the trauma (love pain and drama) that has just consumed you.

If you decide to turn around and take on your pursuer in your weakened state you could die or suffer more devastation.

If you decide to keep it moving you may survive to fight another day.

Fear doesn’t move you, it’s the will to survive and fight another day that empowers you.

If you are love sick or hurt by love, you must heal first before pursuing other relationships. You must heal before you decide to give it another try or decide to die trying. You must be at peace with yourself in order to bring peace to any relationship.

If you turn around to address what is causing the pain, you leave yourself open to take another bullet to the chest. If you decide to keep moving you may live to love another day. You may decide you don’t want to love another day.

You may decide to open other windows of opportunity for other people or things. Another Window of choice, will always present itself to you. Weather the choices that you make are ideal for you or not.

It’s the nature and balance of life and the way things are. You will always have choices.

I advise you to keep it moving. Find yourself. Become a better person within yourself and leave the pursuers in the dust. Once you have healed, you will be an affordable opponent.

You will be able to take on anything that life throws your way.

Portia is on her grind!

Check out this exclusive model. Portia is doing her thing in the industry. She expects to have a new website up soon! This site is said to be "Off the chain", so stay posted with this lady.

Miss Portia was born Portia J. in Philadelphia, PA. This multi-talented beauty is a mixture of Black, Italian, Hispanic and Filipino. Being raised as a "rich kid" growing up, she wasn't like her friends and relatives. At the age of 13 she started getting into her "own zone" and begin playing guitar and the sax as a way to be diffrent. Portia's father eventually moved their family to Ohio when she was just 5 years old,and she still resides there till this day. Her first taste of modeling was teen pageants (which inspierd her because of her surroudings) but at the age of 17 she started getting her shape. being that her body changed dramatically...her audience also changed. that is when she decided to get into urban modeling. Portia didn't take modeling seriously because it wasn't what she or her parents wanted, so she took a break from modeling and started working on Real-Estate. A few months later Portia met her soon to be ex-boyfriend and begin staying with him for awhile, until she suffered a setback when he begin physically/emotionally abusing her.She found herself modeling again and used this talent as a way of escape. Overtime, Portia developed her own style and personality that set her apart from other females. Normally Portia began to experience "depression" and turned to partying as a way to remain "happy" while she struggled having to leave her ex-boyfriend. Portia was found to be successful at anything she planned to do in life. In 2005, Portia's grandmother died of being elderly. While this may have paralyzed some emotions and comfort, it gave Portia the drive and strengh she needed to continue to pursue her goals. In 2006, Portia started getting serious about modeling and got her first big break in a Smooth Magazine Layout with Bow Wow and her cousin Ashley. So far she's done 3 Magazine Layouts with BlackMens Magazine,Feds/SWeets Magazine and Smooth Magazine. Through those magazines landed her a part in rapper Chingy's "Dem Jeans" video and also Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" video. From there landed her a spot on the KAY SLAY Show as well. Next will be her website www.portiaxposed.com and you will also see her on BET'S new TV show JUDGE MOONEY coming soon!

NEW YORK (AP) -- Crude oil futures rose to another record close Thursday, boosted once more by the dollar's continuing slide to new lows against the euro.
Story No Production Boost From OPECAt the pump, meanwhile, gas prices extended their own advance toward record levels. The national average price of a gallon of gas rose 0.7 cent overnight to $3.185, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. Gas prices are following oil higher, and are expected to peak this spring well above last May's record of $3.227 a gallon.
Thursday brought a mixed slate of economic news. Although reports on same-store sales suggested some retailers are doing better than expected and the number of people filing for unemployment claims dropped last week, home foreclosures jumped in the fourth quarter to an all-time high, according to The Mortgage Bankers Association.
The European Central Bank and Bank of England, meanwhile, decided to leave interest rates unchanged.
The foreclosure data and European interest rate decisions helped push the dollar lower. Analysts believe the steadily weakening dollar is the reason oil prices have jumped to a number of new inflation-adjusted record highs this week. Crude futures offer a hedge against a falling dollar, and oil futures bought and sold in dollars are more attractive to foreign investors when the dollar is falling.
"This market continues to be based on the dollar," said James Cordier, founder of OptionSellers.com, a Tampa, Fla., trading firm.
Light, sweet crude for April delivery rose 95 cents to settle at a record $105.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after earlier spiking to a new trading record of $105.97. However, prices alternated between gains and losses frequently Thursday as some investors sold to lock in profits from a rally that added 6 percent to crude's price in two days.
Photos Crude Realities: Oil Production and PoliticsHelping push oil prices higher Thursday was an overnight rebel attack on a Colombian oil pipeline that transports 60,000 barrels of oil a day for export markets.
"The attack was in response to the Colombian military's killing of a high ranking member of the rebel group ... during a raid into Ecuador," said Addison Armstrong, director of exchange Traded Markets at TFS Energy Futures LLC in Stamford, Conn., in a research note. "The Transandino pipeline may be out of service for up to three days following the explosion."
The attack came as traders worried about escalating tensions between Colombia and Venezuela over Colombia's raid into Ecuador. Venezuela moved tanks and soldiers to the Colombian border. Ecuador said Monday it had sent 3,200 soldiers to its border with Colombia.
In other Nymex trading, April heating oil futures rose 3.02 cents to settle at a record $2.9733 a gallon, while April gasoline futures rose 1.11 cents to settle at $2.6532 a gallon.
April natural gas futures inched up 0.1 cent to settle at $9.742 per 1,000 cubic feet. The Energy Department said inventories fell by 135 billion cubic feet last week, less than analysts had expected.
In London, Brent crude rose 97 cents to settle at $102.61 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
Diesel prices jumped 1.4 cents overnight to a new record national average of $3.71 a gallon. High diesel prices are boosting prices of consumer goods, the vast majority of which are transported by the distillate fuel.

Notorious B.I.G comes to big screen

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Biggie is coming to the big screen. Fox Searchlight has hired Jamal Woolard, a Brooklyn-based rapper, to play late rap icon Biggie Smalls, a.k.a. the Notorious B.I.G., in its upcoming biopic "Notorious."

Directed by George Tillman Jr. ("Soul Food"), it goes into production this month and is set for release in January.
Luke ("Catch a Fire") will play Biggie record producer Sean "Diddy" Combs, who off-screen is an executive producer on the film. Mackie ("Brother to Brother") will play rival rapper Tupac Shakur, while Bassett ("Akeelah and the Bee") will play Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace.
The production held an open casting call last fall in the hope of finding the next Notorious B.I.G., ne Christopher Wallace, the generously built East Coast rapper who was killed in an unsolved Los Angeles drive-by in 1997.
The idea, executives said, was that as with casting for sports movies like "Miracle," the production would be better served with a non-actor who can rap and imitate Biggie than with a pro actor who might need to be taught how to rap.
More than 100 Biggie wannabes, many of them non-pros and all with the requisite size, turned out to show off their rapping and impersonation skills.
Woolard, who also is known as Gravy, is not a total unknown. He has released a number of albums, though he's perhaps best known for being shot before a radio appearance outside the New York hip-hop station Hot 97 two years ago, after which he proceeded with the interview and became a part of hip-hop lore.
Like Biggie, Woolard was a drug dealer before he became a rapper. He had released a number of albums on indie labels in the 1990s before being signed by Warner Bros.
Voletta Wallace cited "Jamal's charming personality, warm spirit, wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile" as reasons for the casting. "He is a talented and charismatic actor, and I am excited that he will bring Christopher's character to life," she said.
Biggie, who drew on his experiences as a drug dealer in his rapping, is considered a seminal figure in the hip-hop world; his posthumously released "Life After Death" was a top seller and is considered one of the most influential hip-hop records of the modern era. "Notorious" is expected to examine his troubled life, his music and his impact.

"Hating others get you no where, but spreading love gets you money." Real talk, Preezie

One out of five Americans has an anger management problem. Anger is a natural human emotion and is nature's way of empowering us to "ward off" our perception of an attack or threat to our well being. The problem is not anger, the problem is the mismanagement of anger. Mismanaged anger and rage is the major cause of conflict in our personal and professional relationships.
Domestic abuse, road rage, workplace violence, divorce, and addiction are just a few examples of what happens when anger is mismanaged.

Diddy Moving To Hollywood, Speaks on Acting

By Chris Richburg

With a ratings victory for his first starring role in the television adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun, Sean "Diddy" Combs is looking to take his acting endeavors to the next level.

"I’m out here [in Hollywood] looking for houses now," Combs told AllHipHop.com. "I’m going to officially be bi coastal. I feel like in order to make movies, you gotta be where they are being made."

Combs is celebrating the success of the three-hour television production of A Raisin in the Sun, which drew 12.7 million viewers when it premiered Monday (Feb. 25) on ABC.

The showing made it TV's highest-rated original movie since November 2005 among key demographic audiences.

"It’s an extremely gratifying feeling, especially when you’re doing something artistic that so many people were skeptical about or didn’t believe that you could do," the mogul told AllHipHop.com.

A Raisin in the Sun, which ranked number one for the night, allowed the network to turn in its strongest night amongst viewers in three months.

"To see such a huge audience show up. I don’t think people really understand the level of this audience and then also the core demographic," the mogul explained. "So this is number one. Not just with 18-35. Not just your African-Americans. Also with White women 18-50."

For Combs, the reaction to the film and his performance comes as motivation to shoot for more quality projects to build on.

"This has really set a tone out there in Hollywood that I could draw, that I could bring people to the box office and put people in seats as I make this transition," Combs said. "It’s one of my proudest artistic moments because I kept on working hard. I didn’t give up."

So you want to know what I think?
