Miss Portia was born Portia J. in Philadelphia, PA. This multi-talented beauty is a mixture of Black, Italian, Hispanic and Filipino. Being raised as a "rich kid" growing up, she wasn't like her friends and relatives. At the age of 13 she started getting into her "own zone" and begin playing guitar and the sax as a way to be diffrent. Portia's father eventually moved their family to Ohio when she was just 5 years old,and she still resides there till this day. Her first taste of modeling was teen pageants (which inspierd her because of her surroudings) but at the age of 17 she started getting her shape. being that her body changed dramatically...her audience also changed. that is when she decided to get into urban modeling. Portia didn't take modeling seriously because it wasn't what she or her parents wanted, so she took a break from modeling and started working on Real-Estate. A few months later Portia met her soon to be ex-boyfriend and begin staying with him for awhile,until she suffered a setback when he begin physically/emotionally abusing her.She found herself modeling again and used this talent as a way of escape. Overtime, Portia developed her own style and personality that set her apart from other females. Normally Portia began to experience "depression" and turned to partying as a way to remain "happy" while she struggled having to leave her ex-boyfriend. Portia was found to be successful at anything she planned to do in life. In 2005, Portia's grandmother died of being elderly. While this may have paralyzed some emotions and comfort, it gave Portia the drive and strengh she needed to continue to pursue her goals. In 2006, Portia started getting serious about modeling and got her first big break in a Smooth Magazine Layout with Bow Wow and her cousin Ashley. So far she's done 3 Magazine Layouts with BlackMens Magazine,Feds/SWeets Magazine and Smooth Magazine. Through those magazines landed her a part in rapper Chingy's "Dem Jeans" video and also Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" video. From there landed her a spot on the KAY SLAY Show as well. portia is very beautiful i hope to see her do so much more i read she wanted to act and that you have to start somwhere. i respect her grind she has nevr dated indusry cats she just focus on her career. i read in kay slays magazine her focus in acting always has been do ya thing ma.
