Warren Ballentine calls out Jay Z, Russell Simmons, & Bod Johnson on radio 102.5

11: 15 am EST Moday, Jan 14th, 2008

Warren Ballentine has strongly publicizes Bob Johnson former owner of BET (Black Entertainment Television) as being a Punk on his morning show (102.5). He reports that these men have lost a sense of honor in regards to their moral responsibility to support the community that has empowered them. Warren Ballentine repeatedly advised to the public that Jay Z, Russell Simmons, and Bob Johnson no longer knows what it’s like to be from the Hood. Basically, He’s calling them Sale outs.

Ballentine speaks out on how they have been pimped out like whores, and in return are pimping their own community.

Warren Ballentine, repeatedly called them cowards and punks. Stating that, these men of power do nothing of magnitude that supports their community in any significant way.

Is Warren Ballentine, not the same? It was reported that when raising money during his Truth Fighters Campaign through the sale of Truth Fighter T-shirts that people have not received the merchandise that they paid for.
The purpose for raising the money was to support the Jena 6 Trials, but did this ever happen. We missed the report on if those consumers actually received the merchandise they pre-paid for.

Jay Z pimp or non- pimp Russell Simmons life's Good! Hillary Clinton / Bob Johnson

  5. Warren, from my observation after listening to him for a few years, can be rather unprofessional over the airwaves at times, but he has been encouraging his listeners to open accounts at Mechanics and Farmers Bank in North Carolina, which also helps to promote investment in other Black owned businesses. Rarely if ever will a Black person in a corporate media setting with a large audience do such a thing, for fear of being cut off.

  6. Honestly speaking, I have only good things to say about Warren Ballentine. He's brought so much knowledge and awareness on so many important issues to the Black Community. I'm a long time listener who lives in Atlanta, Ga., and my only complaint is that when Warren was switched from an FM to an AM station; the radio station lost clarity. I listen daily, but it makes it extremely difficult to listen when you hear so much static on the station. When possible, I listen online. I wish that Warren Ballentine and Al Sharpton would ensure that their listeners in the Atlanta area could hear them more clearly. Although I don't agree with every single thing that Warren Ballentine says, he was very instrumental in making African-Americans aware of the political issues in 2008. He also made everyone aware of the Jena 6 situation in Jena, Louisiana. Of course, Mike Baisden was very instrumental in that plight as well. The Black Community needs more people who are going to fight for our interests. We have so many Blacks who get in their cars and would rather bump to music instead of learning about the issues that directly affect them. We (as a people) don't have time to "drop it like it's hot" to the radio. So many of us aren't the least concerned about the important issues that Black America can fix if we work together. Warren is just one voice, but he is helpful. It's time that we wake up and stop being so passive because we end up suffering when we sit back and leave the decision making to others. You have to be in it to win it! Warren is not the problem , but is part of the solution. We need 100 more people just like him, so let's not always find fault in our own people. Let's find ways to build each other up because this is the only way that we will all succeed.... Stephanie.

  7. I agree with Stephanie. Warren is just one voice, and we do need others to take action. As the old saying goes, be about it don't speak about it.
