ARE WE IN A RECESSION???

ARE WE IN A RECESSION???

There are people who skate around the world Recession. No one wants to finally admit that the US economy is in a Recession. Look around you. I went to Public grocery store last night to purchase things for a meal. I rarely buy a lot of groceries because I hate to waste food, and being that I’m a bachelor the trips to the grocery store really don’t bother me much… it’s just a stop on my way home.

At any rate, I was not amazed to find every item in the store that would be hunger fulfilling was an average of $3.00. A bag of Salad was $3 bucks. Now something is wrong with that. I would almost be better off eating fast food because there’s not much to save anymore from grocery shop. Don’t get it twisted…My health is way more important than saving money so I will continue to shop instead of eating out too much.

Gas prices are finally starting to drop, but is this a sign of another Great depression.

Read the following insert from MSN money talk:

Light, sweet crude was down $4.64 to $63.20 in premarket electronic trading this morning, despite an announcement from OPEC that it will cut production by 1.5 million barrels a day to try to stem crude's recent slide. Three months ago, crude was selling at an all-time high of more than $147 a barrel.
Ministers with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries had been divided over how deeply to cut exports to try to reverse the price slide, given the prospects for a recession in the United States and Europe, as well as recent forecasts from China for slower growth in 2009.
A sharper slowdown in China would likely cause crude prices to plummet even if OPEC holds firm to its production cuts.

The Great Depression

After reading Articles like this, I draw a simple conclusion. This is the time for families to stick together. This is the time for friend to stick together. If there is anyone you love, this is the time to strengthen those bonds.

A lot of people are trying to save money more than anything now. Saving actually hurts us when where in a Recession. Save = not circulating money back into the economy.

For this reason, I understand that Obama’s need to increase Taxes is a valid one. I do believe in McClain Free trade philosophy. We do need free trade, but there should be some restriction on corporate Out-Sourcing. There should be some tax placed on companies that outsource. Taxes shouldn't be so outrages that it cuts all the profits that generated from the decrease cost of labor but the funds generated from the tax should go directly to the State not the Federal Government at which that business resides in. This is my take on the situation.
We could enrich the value of life in that state by distributing those funds to the State. There’s nothing wrong with having State resource that empowers those that do business on State land. This is a volatile market so we have to be careful regarding government control in our everyday lives. We need strengthen checks and balances between Federal and State Government.
